Facilitating the education of underprivileged children, especially girls, of the Liangshan Yizu Autonomous Region, Sichuan Province, China.

Brief History
The Josephine Charles Foundation is a registered Charity in England, Wales and Hong Kong and listed as a company in Australia. We are dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged children, especially girls, by providing sustainable projects focusing on education. 

The Foundation believes the welfare of the children is of paramount importance and through our Scholarship Fund we maintain the health, social, emotional and academic welfare of all its children. We are currently sponsoring 100 children.

In partnership with local Government Education Departments we have been able to fund the construction of selected schools in rural areas of the Liangshan Yizu and Tibetan autonomous regions of Sichuan province.

Since its inception the Foundation has constructed eight new schools and refurbished a further three. Once construction has been completed, we do not walk away but continue to maintain a good relationship with the Headmaster and local community providing valuable assistance and support.
